Put Something In...

Here's a little print we did for the Children's Museum of Denver for their annual Birthday Bash. The theme was inspired by the works of Shel Silverstein. So we selected one of our favorite poems by the man and add a cute little Silverstein-esque drawing to it...that's a cat-bird-bee-duck to be exact. Perfect tiny print for a kid's room.

Blame It on the Altitude Postcards

Whether you're just visiting or a native as they say, these postcards are basically Denver's officially stationery to be used for any correspondence leaving the city limits. After spending a day breathing in the thin air and baking under the intense sunshine, write a note to a friend and let them know that you are thinking about them as they miss out on all Denver has to offer. Plus, they double as coasters for your beer if you run into some writer's block. Find them in our shop and around Denver.

Summer Greenery Wedding Collection: Part Two

For the second part of this collection, we created a custom map of Denver for out-of-town guest to explore some of the couples favorite places. The map icons are pint glasses for local watering holes or breweries and the big bear for places to grab a bit to eat. And finally, custom Thank You cards complete the collection.

Summer Greenery Wedding Collection: Part One

For their early summer wedding, the bride and groom wanted a wedding collection that had a natural look that brought out the feeling of the season. Starting with the delicate wreath monogram the letterpress invitation suite grew from there. The hand-drawn type mixed with a traditional serif font blends a lighthearted look with a classic one. And of course, as a CU alumni, a buffalo stamp was a must for the groom.

Children's Museum of Denver Custom Print

Working with the Children's Museum of Denver, we created this custom print for their fundraiser campaign. The concept was to celebrate the idea of childhood discovery. We were inspired by the star-filled Colorado sky and remembered how fun it was as a kid (and still is) to look up at the billions of stars trying to connect the dots of our imaginary constellations. From a distance we wanted the print to look like a child pointing at the stars, but on a closer inspection you see the blind press of what the child is drawing.

Little More Love for Colfax

The only problem we had with our letterpress Colfax card was you couldn't wear it. Well, problem solved. Just got done printing these limited My Love For You Is Like Colfax T-shirts with the help of A Small Print Shop here in Denver. They turned out Colfax-tastic. Find them in our shop.

Wisteria Wedding Collection

Congratulations to Mike and Nancy on their recent marriage! This lovely letterpress wedding collection takes inspiration from their Denver wedding day: A ceremony at the Botanic Gardens followed by a modern reception at the Denver Art Museum.

Colorado Baby Shower Invite

Our friends Emily and Conor are avid backpackers. They also have a little one on the way. So what better way to welcome their precious cargo than with a trail-inspired baby shower. This two color, letterpress invite must of done the trick because, yes, there was even a mid-afternoon shower (thunderstorm) that came over the Rockies that day. We can't wait to see if it's a boy or a girl!

Children's Museum of Denver Birthday Bash Print

For this letterpress print we were lucky enough to collaborate with the Children’s Museum of Denver for their 39th Birthday Bash. Based on J.M. Barrie’s Peter Pan, the theme of the night was Never Never Grow Up. One of our favorite characters from the classic tale is the tick-tocking crocodile that’s always chasing Captain Hook. Keeping with the whimsical style of the event, we hand drew this print before pressing it on our C&P. We created 130 total prints: 100 for the event and 30 for our shop. All the loot from the prints goes to the Children’s Museum of Denver.

Ski Lift Love Card

We're not meteorologist, but ever since we printed this card we've finally started to get a lot of snow in Colorado. Just saying.

The great thing about this card is that it is also a mini-poster. Get the card or mini-poster version in our Etsy shop.

Plowed Holiday Card

Our second letterpress holiday card is a tribute to those snowed-in days where you can just kick back, stay in your pajamas, and watch the Price is Right with your favorite beverage. Of course, after a couple days of that it’s always nice to see the plow barreling down your road, making a welcomed escape route back to reality. Find the card in our Etsy Shop.

Pine Beetle Holiday Card

Our first of two letterpress holiday cards this year was inspired by our annoying neighbors, the pine beetles. Yep, they’ve done a number on the Colorado landscape, leaving a sea of brown, dead pine trees in their wake. So with some wishful thinking, and some unfavorable weather, we hope to never speak their name again in 2012. Find the card in our Etsy Shop.

And a little bonus. The wonderful font we used, Homestead, was created by Colorado born Luke Lisi. Check out the font here.
